Another rousing edition of the Thriftin' series, Culled from my massive collection of discarded vinyl gems,tossed haplessly into thrift store record racks ,across Florida. More of the same,some of the highlights ,for me ,are : Jimmy & Kristy McNichols bro/sis gang-up on "Go For It" , Kim Jung Ho's Korean guitar classic ,"Track 10" (real title in Korean!) , music box recordings, Beatles covers,comedy ,voodoo music, stereo test records,hawaiian classics,children's records ,the atom bomb being detonated ,and more than I have the time to go into! Check it out! And since today is the anniversary of Hawaii becoming our 50th state (8/21/1959) there is a compilation of 70 (!!?!!) versions of the tropical chestnut "Hawaiian War Chant" ,posted over at my other site , Media Christ , ( http://archive.org/download/HawaiianWarChants-PresentedBySluggishasThriftStoreSeries/HawaiianWarChants.zip ),for good time musical torture/fun!
