working largely with a box of found cassettes,I found on the side of the road in a ditch ,as if someone had thrown them out of the window of a speeding car,the cassette carrying case had a latch on it ,so everything was intact.there were some pre recorded commercial releases,which I skipped over,and instead headed for the cassettes that someone had recorded their own selections of music on,mostly cheap dollar store type cassettes,and even one commercial tape that they had recorded over,putting tape over the holes to record on it.I mixed the tapes down playing all 4 tracks at once ,2 stereo tracks front and 2 backwards,on every cut here....the last few tracks are tapes of my own recordings ,from recently and from long ago ,in the 80s/90s,but most of this is found tapes,no effects added,maybe some pitch shifting here and there ,and an enhanced stereo output on the sound...this is an experimental noise recording,which can be distorted and disorienting at times,and is a great mix of short cuts and a couple longer tracks that sound really weird...a ready-made ,(for the most pare ,besides mixing and producing),recording for the adventurous few out there!!
