THE DICK PANTHERS - Eternal Biological Conflict

My new pals , The Dick Panthers ,sent in some discs to post! I'll start here ,they all stick to the same basic sound,with enough interesting diversions in music and vocals ,to make you wanna hear it again and again! First off, most of the subject matter has to do with religion and /or masturbation,the music is well-recorded ,and obviously played by folks ,that are too talented to be playing tardcore , but this is great stuff,nonetheless! They had tracks on the ,"WC500" comp ,from Wheelchair , as well as the more recent ,"Fart Filet" compilation. Imagine ,if you will , Elvis, Jimi , James Brown , The Residents, Negativland (the last 2 they channel ,effortlessly ,on the last 2 tracks ,a skit ,and a noise/sampler number) ,any drunken country singer,and Jesus , if they started a band. Dave was a Ft.Myers,Florida musician,who moved on to Georgia and abroad,doing studio time with Sean "Puffy"Coombs(before he was anyone),Jad Fair,and lots of others.He was also in many bands such as the Go-Devils,Insane Jane,even a guest spot with Cat Machine.He invented the "Queerbait",a stringed electric noisemakin'lap steel contraption.This is a selection of early solo material,styles vary,experimental,cover of the Beatles,"Good Day Sunshine",I swear I have him doing"Theme Song from The Jefferson's",somewhere,(I may be dreaming),songs that sound like out-takes of Residents and Negativland,this is very cool nonetheless,a musicians musician,thinking music for those who can't think,this will distract your way of life!
