NOISEKILLR - Headstomp - NOISEKILLR 40,MVMT 206

fake cover art

Yes Lou Koller has passed after battling esophageal cancer for over 2 years, and I wanted to pay tribute to him,by remixing this Sick Of It All track, stretching it out to over 40 minutes,it sounds nothing at all like the original song, and if I hadn't told you ,you never would've known.True ,this song is an instrumental, and Lou doesn't sing a note on it,but I felt this was a fitting homage, and i didn't want to mess with anything with his voice, which should be remembered as it was ,on the original recordings

JAY COUNCE AND THE GAVOONS - COVER THE HITS - a RAMONES tribute SPLIT

back in the 90s Jay Counce was playing guitar in a band named "Sexboy" , I was the singer.Jay decided one day in 2013 that we should do a Ramones tribute split, and I said ok.He sent me his completed songs (altough I had to change the sample rate to get them to upload!) ,back in 2013,I had started a new band The Gavoons ,as kind of a follow up to Sexboy, maintaining the punk, raw, aggression, and sound.Jay's tracks are really good and polished ,The Gavoons tracks are raw ,one take, punk as fuck, with all bruises and warts.Art by ramonescomics ,back cover by Greay Meatballs.Jay is a great guitarist and all around musician,I believe he said his brother plays drums, possibly on here? I dunno,he might pop in and comment one day.Right now he's in the hospital with nerve damage to his left arm,and hopefully will not need surgery! This goes out to Jay,Get well soon, bro ,and Vance, and Brophy ,and every Ramones fan in the world!!   https://sluggishatapes.bandcamp.com/album/jay-counce-the-gavoons-cover-the-hits-a-ramones-tribute-split

BUILDING A BETTER MOUSETRAP - A TRIBUTE TO CAT MACHINE - Lava Church Records 2012 compilation

Finally!!! after 9 long years, this cassette from 2012 has made it to the blog.CAT MACHINE IS FOR YOU,EVEN IF YOU NEVER HEARD OF THEM!!!Long out of print,if you own a copy, limited to 50,recorded onto recycled cassette tapes, and distributed by Lava Church Records, then you are a purveyor and seeker of ,underground, cult, weird, odd, avant garde musicians. This upload also includes a song which has gone unheard for years, submitted but never added to this tape.Useless Pile's version of "Boiling In The Bathtub",is the final track on this, still a mystery thats never been solved! Anyways, check out this tribute,to the little band that could,a group of punks whose sheer tolerance for the world, impacted an unknown number of kids, into starting their own bands! The band of bastards that spawned hundreds of bastard bands!! Read the notes on how the band (and the Sluggisha Tapes label!) ,got it's start, and read the lyrics to every song included here, also bonus stuff in the download are rare flyers and art. Throw money at this release (and my small,as of yet, bandcamp catalog) ,and help me and my wife survive another day!! thanks all!!!

Yeah,A new band,(QUEEF REICH) I did with Fuck Ramone of electrichedonist.blogspot.com ,ended up on his blog! My son Eric, did the front cover art (I did the logo) ,while Mr. Fuck did the back cover and lettering. Quite a whirlwind in a bucket of weird experimental tomfoolery.Sounds like Costes yammering on top of Throbbing Gristle,on Mars. From an aborted project with Alto Jeffro,(who does not appear on this recording),  Here's Fuck's desription ,and a link to download:

ELHE018: Queef Reich, by Queef Reich

Get the trax at http://archive.org/details/Elhe018QueefReichByQueefReich

Electric Hedonist and Sluggisha have teamed up to bring you this craptastic debut from the young arrivistes in Queef Reich. Mellow electronic pings and rumbles are slathered in uptight distortion and screaming. It sounds like a cyborg pig being drowned in barbecue sauce. Eat meat! Get this record!

Then these fine releases from SEXBOY, my mid-90's punk band ,as posted by The Bone ,over at ramonetothebone.blogspot.com. Most all of this stuff is demos recorded by me,the one man band, before the band was actually fully realized. Thanks to The Bone!

DEVIL'S WHOREHOUSE- The Howling

This band is made up of folks in the black metal scene.Marduk and Abruptum members, amongst others. This is half originals, half Misfits, and Samhain covers.Brutal and cold.

PRIME DIRECTIVE-Exterminate: A Tribute to The Misfits and Samhain

Not much info, anywhere on this band, anyone knows anything?let us know in the comments. All Misfits and Samhain covers.

THE KISSFITS

Another parody tribute, this time 2 bands, obviously, another bunch of geniuses, who took their joke to the limit.Still fine versions of 2 Misfits , and 2 Kiss songs, great stage act, I'd go see 'em if they went on tour.I think this was a one-off gig tho'.

CLICK HERE: https://archive.org/download/TheKissfits/510TheKissfits.zip

THE MISFATS

This band's singer once said,"I heard of the Misfits, they've taken some of our songs, took out the food references, and sing about horror movies, and stuff".Yes ,with songs like,"Mommy,Can I Go Out And Grill Tonight?", and "Hungry Moments",the fattest of all Misfits tribute bands,is spot on.Even covering the "new" Misfits, with ,"Don't Open That Mayonaisse", and Danzig with,"Butter",it is very chuckle-worthy.Genius move, great fat skull logo ,and lyrics.

TRIBUTE TO GG ALLIN-THE BUNNY BRAINS/BBQ YOUNG split 7"

This is a fine way to honor the King of Scumfuck rock. The Bunny Brains, are kinda reminiscent of Cat Machine,in that they at one time, used to record tapes on a daily basis, and had tons of different sounds and cassettes to dump all over.On here they do a topical number,"GG's Dead(And I'm Not Feeling Too Good Myself)".BBQ Young is members of Antiseen, and their recordings of ,"Violence Now"(cover of GG and the Murder Junkies, who were the Antiseen at some point),and for some inexplicable reason a cover of Roky Erickson's,"I Walked With A Zombie",sound as if you are listening in on a practice session of the Antiseen. You are there,as it were.

THINKING FELLERS UNION LOCAL 282/SUN CITY GIRLS-split 7" CAROLINER

A bit of weirdness, here. Two already weird bands, cover some tunes by one of the weirdest of all bands.Thinking Fellers Union Local 282's tribute is maybe weirder than the original. The music will suddenly speed up or slow down,or keep a steady beat. The Sun City Girls side,is equally as weird, but no one can really beat Caroliner, for weirdness,I mean as far as their whole collective goes,it's nearly cult-like.I beleieve Joel gave me this ,whilst flushing out his collection,I say thanks, pal! On Nuf Sed Summer Railroad, out of San Francisco.

STRAIGHT YOUTH-together we can do it!

That title sounds like something from the Obama camp, only from 1990,Miami.Kinda like a parody/tribute to straight-edge,much like Crucial Youth. This trio plays great tunes, hardcore lyrics, and some humorous bits.Lots of funny notes and pics in zip.Shoulda stuck it out for at least one more single.Almost coulda been the next Youth of Today. 4 And A Half Fingers Records, thanks Emil !!
