this is not skate rock,unless you are a spacerock skater ,who trips balls and smokes trees ...this is skatecorenoise,differing tones and sounds that will surely set of a few sets of old school skating like behind the k-mart,or in front of the k-mart,or anywhere some old man with a broom would chase you away...I was a skateboarder at several points in my life,never anymore than an amateur,I broke a foot on a halfpipe once,and an arm jumping a cowgate for shrooms,but that is the extent of my skate injuries,bar a few scrapes,nicks and cuts,road rash and blood,I'm still kicking today,havent rode a board in years ,dont know if i would try again,maybe someday though,never know...the noise is raw and gives in to a few soft moments ,but mostly rages like a kegger at a teenage party! Yee Haw!!!

FACEPULLER - Pull This 7"

North Vancouver ,BC Canada is where these boys lay their heads. They've been compared to Big Black's noisepunk attack ,but I don't hear that kind of ferocity here. Known as the loudest band in their town ,this was their very first 7" single from 1991 on their own True North Records label. Now out of print ,they were on several compilations ,had music on skateboard and snowboard videos ,and put out a few full-lengths. Classified as a cross-over punk/noise/metal band ,it's all grunge to me.

June 1st,1991 ,at Cat Machine house.Ed J.,Joel Rizzo,Chipmonk,and Billy Drake.Since Tony was put away for a little while,the first tune on here is,"Tony Takes A Nap",which mostly concerns skateboarding.There are a couple more jammin' songs,and then the last 2 tracks are audio verite,or musique concrete,if you will."Gene Simmons' Codpiece" ,is a lengthy jaunt thru overlayed samples and tv,and music,while "Linda Blair In Jail",is a nasty number with Exorcist samples,that will have you laffin' it up!Listen in the backround to the funny comments by band members! 4-track studio recordings!
