A comp of bands and spoken word from John Giorno's Poetry Systems imprint,along with Rough Trade. There is some weirdness here , and some rockin'. Karen Finley does it for me,and New Order's cover of the Velvet Underground's "Sister Ray" is great. John Giorno whines and wheezes in his usual voice ,and Uncle Bill (Burroughs) ,waxes poetic. Most of this is good.

Back in the early 90s I worked at a local (independent) record store
As the new guy, I got last pick of the promo tapes and CDs, but came up with some gems like Fatima Mansions - The Only Solution, Another Revolution, Firehose's promo for Flyin' the Flannel (with a piece of green and blue flannel in place of a tape insert/cover) and this cassette.
The Karen Finley spoken word is unbelievable - I can remember playing it over and over for friends
Unfortunately all these tapes were lost (along with a killer Kenwood tape deck) when my Jeep was broken into and I hadn't seen or heard this since
