THINKING FELLERS UNION LOCAL 282/SUN CITY GIRLS-split 7" CAROLINER

A bit of weirdness, here. Two already weird bands, cover some tunes by one of the weirdest of all bands.Thinking Fellers Union Local 282's tribute is maybe weirder than the original. The music will suddenly speed up or slow down,or keep a steady beat. The Sun City Girls side,is equally as weird, but no one can really beat Caroliner, for weirdness,I mean as far as their whole collective goes,it's nearly cult-like.I beleieve Joel gave me this ,whilst flushing out his collection,I say thanks, pal! On Nuf Sed Summer Railroad, out of San Francisco.

SOCKEYE/ROSS DAILY-7 inch split-you throw like a grrrrrl/don't want you around

Sockeye does 5 songs you already know, albeit, perhaps, different versions.Ross Daily is a news caster in Canada, that some canucks named their band after.Their original tune is obnoxious and fun,the Elvis Costello cover is also cool.I got second press of 300 on red vinyl.

ONE EYE OPEN - Boobs (the incomplete set)

This came out in 1996,on Too Many Records, out of Spokane,WA.The band I think, was from maybe Gilman St. scene,or just Bay area,CA.It consists of covers of TV themes and commercials from the 70's-80's.Pretty cool, and Fred has been on me to post this, cuz he can't find it nowhere. So here's to Fred!

PATHOGENS (PI)

Food does it again!Another stellar Wheelchair release, this one a satire/tribute to the Germs, specifically Darby Crash. You'll hear snippets of Darb's lyrics ,strewn throughout, and Pubbly Clash,on vocals, does a fair-to-middlin' impression of early Darby, like on Germicide, adopting his lisping, idiotic vocal style.Storma Loom on bass,Mat Clear on guitar, and a Friendly Fribble on information(which is the drum track on every song,a t.v. spouting everything from ball games,to the news,to soap operas)Includes a Germs cover,"Forming",it's like Darby singing from beyond the grave!"First Time I Ate A Dime"is one of my faves here. Here's to hoping for more from this funny and imbecilic band! And what's up with Tom Selleck?

LETTUCE VULTURES - Hernia

The latest release from these dolts. Some really good tunes here including:"God Held Up My Hardware Store","Both Of Your Dads","Guy With The Green Teeth And The Mahogany Beard",and other non-hits.The only thing troubling me here is the last song,"Sayonara",making me think it's the end for the Lettuce Vultures,(like the title of the one before this),say it ain't so,Food! Maybe it's just the end of this disc.Let's all pray, that is the case.

LETTUCE VULTURES - I Wish It Were Over

Awesome cover art!Food roughs up his trademark tard-pop sound a bit here.A little harder -edged than most of the Vultures releases, even has a few remixes.Has a song based on a police crime log,and other tales from suburbia.Poopy is on blender bender on this disc.I don't like the foreboding, ominous title tho',hope it's not the end for this band!

MEATY JOESON - Volume One

A new band, out on Wheelchair/Onion Mind Games, with a sound all their own.If I was pressed to describe it I would say: the Raymond Pettibon album he sings on,(only way more interesting),crossed with The Metric System. If you can wrap your head around that!Killing Joke Album on vocals,Gargantuan Grandma on axe,Charchangler Chimmy on dumb space guitar,Milkmaid on trauma buster, and Scarsdale Diet Balls on squeaking thing, makes for one super group you won't wanna miss.Get twisted, throw this on,and get ready to disco!

WILLIAM WESLEY & THE TINY SOCKETS-don't dowse the house

This from 08-09,is more of Wes,at his best. Also on the Unread label, now located in Baltimore,MD,home of rampant weirdness,as evidenced by John Waters, and others from there. This tape has some fun humor, some real folk-noise,a good time. One of my favorite new undiscovered artists.

WILLIAM WESLEY & THE TINY SOCKETS-hen men ?

I put the ?,after the title, cuz the cover has so many things that could be the title,i went for a fortune cookie message,:Learn Chinese-Hen-Men-Very Boring, which is far from an apt description of this tape.Wes continues to paint masterpieces of homeland america,on this one.If you listened to any music between 1985-and now, this will appeal to you.I know folks like the chipmunk,Tony and Joel,Billy,Shane, and others, would love this stuff. An indie-punk's wet dream. This is from Unread Records & Tapes, when they were in GA.

WILLIAM WESLEY & THE TINY SOCKETS-the teething tapes-2005-07

This was the first recording i heard from my pal Wes,of Pounding Mill,(formerly of Paint Lick)Virginia.he's building him a building right now,on his dad's land,to live in.A very prolific performer,he plays out live a lot,and has been a lot of places. This disc is a comp from several releases:"You're Older Than Your Teeth","Second Serving","Split with Albert Fish & the Presbyterian Church",I Don't Ever Want To See Your Face Again",a track from a Chaotic Underworld noise comp.,and a bunch of unreleased stuff. To me ,I hear Box Elder-era Pavement, with Daniel Johnston on vocals.Even the song titles and lyrics are very Daniel Johnston to the max!Very indie/alt,lotsa noisieness, but it's like noise-pop,not so annoying you would turn it off, more than likely you would turn it UP!!!And the little phone calls, skits, audio verite, in between, during, and after songs ,presents a real slice of americana, best heard thru open kitchen windows ,with pies cooling on the ledge.A true American underground legend,a real folk singer ,for now times.Try this out for size, along with the above posts,Wes will be sending more stuff. He also appears on,"We Want Our Life Back-The BP Oil Protest Compilation",below, with a jingly little tune ,that passes by like a caffiene breeze. visit Wes and be his friend on myspace at:www.myspace.com/thetinysockets

WE WANT OUR LIFE BACK ! ! !-THE BP OIL PROTEST COMPILATION

Here it is! After a few month's of downtime,Sluggisha is back in the house! This comp. represents the feelings we, as americans, feel collectively. All the music on here is exclusive to this comp. Some fine surprises are in store for all who download this.A visitor to my blog said this is another new genre of music, "TARCORE"! 2 bands on here ,haven't recorded for over a decade, but were brought back together for this comp.I am talking about FOSSIL FUEL and their tune "Leaky Pipe"(food fortunata and poopy necroponde a/k/a ,gun and knife),as well as TOUGHSKINS,with their brand of hate in,"Your Oi Oi Oil Spill Is Killing Our Oi Oi Oysters!",which is also funny as hell. Some new blood also showed up in the form of,GG OI-LIN with his little cover of the real GG's "Liquor Slicked Highway (Greyhound Bus Riding Man)",re -tooled here as "Oil Slicked Waterway (Poor Gulf Coast Fisherman)",bursting with joyous country/folk sounds.WILLIAM WESLEY AND THE TINY SOCKETS, a new artist to the Sluggisha family, brings us,from Pounding Mill,VA ,"Even Worse Now",sounding ,like much of his stuff does,a cross between the twee noise-pop stylings of Box Elder-era ,Pavement with Daniel Johnston on vocals.Another new arrival is BIG BLACK SCROTUM,and their bad trip psych tune,"Eat Your Family".THE STUPID DINOSAURS ,with their endearing little ditty,"Stupid Dinosaurs"is also a new band on the scene.Bringing the noise,in Black Metal form,is ,COUNT JERKULA,of Tarpon Springs,Fl,with his satanic funeral keyboard driven number,"Blackened Prophecy",and Ybor City's own,YBORATIT,with their blisteringly raw take on their vision of the oil spill,"It's At The Bottom",about, you know, where all the spilled oil went. Some bands from the "100 BANDS-POPEIL PUNK/K-TEL KORE"compilation, contributed as well.MC KING CORNDOG & DJ BLUE JELLO are back with a delightful hip hop tale of frying corndogs in the Gulf of Mexico. The satiric straightedge christian band,xFANTASTICHRISTx,comes on strong with their 2nd song ever,"If You Believe In God",and also BLACK ERNIE & THE OIL SPILL CLEAN-UP SQUAD,(a BLACK RANDY & THE METROSQUAD cover band),with,"Tellin' Lies",are holdovers from the 100 bands comp. There are also 2 songs from the effervescent,Z.A.T.H.,(whose new release should be out very soon!)"Plain As The Oil On Your Face",and "You Make My Mouth Taste Oily",will have your toes tapping in time to the tunes that Food & I ,lay down.LETTUCE VULTURES,another Food project from WHEELCHAIR FULL OF OLD MEN RECORDS,kicks in with their tard-pop stylings on,"Water Or Oil?".YOBEL WEENEL(my kids and I,new album out soon!) ,makes use of some old THREE STOOGES samples from the episode,"Oily To Bed,Oily To Rise",on their weird spacy, bassy anthem,"Erl,Irl,Url",bringing the zombie-rock sound to the people. And some old Sluggisha bands contributed some songs too!NOISEKILLR,goes right for the jugular of the collective conciousness of everyone in Florida, with,"Last Screams From The Everglades",THE BLOOD RED OSCARS,a premium tardcore band, with their latest recording,"BP Can't Clean Up The Gulf!",look for a new release from them as well ,soon! Finally,THE FOUR HEADS,with their little commercial jingle for all the hotels spread across the gulf beaches of our land,"Special Oil Spill Rates(Radio Jingle For Hotels Across The Gulf Coast)". And the samples that tie the songs together, are awesome and informative, and may contain information, you may not have heard about on your local evening news.Food did the fantastic cover art, everyone should have a t-shirt of it,and you'll see a card set for kids from BP,that talks about going green, saving energy, conservation,ya know, all the stuff that BP does the opposite of.Halliburton,Transocean,George Bush Jr.,Dick Cheney,Obama, and others are also directly responsible, and should not be given a free pass. This music is full of fury and hatred for the government, the system, and the politics of America.I do hope everyone out there gets some relief in the form of this recording. It was a lot of work, and i want to thank everyone who contributed, and everyone who downloads this!Enjoy it as much as I enjoyed putting it together for you,my faithful friends in the blogosphere. If you download this, please come back and drop a comment in the comments box.It means everything to me to get comments, cuz hardly anyone leaves any,and that's the only way I get any recognition or gratitude. Thanks,G O D.

SLUGGISHA.BLOGSPOT.COM PRESENTS: 100 BANDS-POPEIL PUNK / K-TEL KORE

Finally,it's here! Months in the making,i'm finally ready to unleash two new genres of music into the world!100 distinctly different, all-new,never recorded bands, and a few tracks from the vault, that have never been released.First let me explain both genres."Popeil Punk"(hereafter, referred to as ,"PP") ,is much like it's namesake,Ron Popeil,in that it is inventive, creative, experimental, fresh, and new.Ahead of it's time,as is the case with most Sluggisha bands. Always evolving into a new music. It's a post-everything,post-music type of music,is frequently of a lo-fi nature, and is always interesting, and something that you probably never heard, even in your wildest dreams.A wild blend ,a melange,of many musics, trying to stuff the sock to overfilling! PP is sometimes used in combination with "K-tel Kore",(hereafter referred to as ,"KK"),in order to bring a more saleable item to market.Because KK is of more of a song oriented nature, like something that might make it onto a K-tel compilation in the future.Like a radio hit ,or something.Usually well-recorded,of a higher "fi" than PP,and features many covers or re-interpretations ,of well known, popular musics. The original tunes that span the KK landscape, are of a "hit-maker",nature,hoping to attract the ear of the general masses. So KK is in more of a pop mindset, although PP techniques are often applied,to "dirty up" the sound a bit.I want to thank everyone who contributed to this great compilation, and , might i say, fine job! Some of the folks, who i actually know are: Joel Rizzo,Tony Rizzo,Mike Smith,Dug Boone,Brian Reed,Food Fortunata,Chuck Connell,Il Ragno,Scotty,Josh,Granma Jane,Eddie,Eric, and Me. Sorry if I missed you.
Some of the bands that are covered are:Led Zeppelin,Fossil Fuel,Sockeye,The Doors. The Kinks,The Sex Pistols,Boy In Love,Lettuce Vultures,Motorhead,G.G.Allin,Radiohead,Sonic Youth,Sonny and Cher,Bad Posture,The Clash,Taylor Swift,R.Kelly,Black Randy & the Metrosquad,Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers,T. Rex,The Meatmen,Aerosmith,Jon Wayne, and i may have missed a few, with a new twist. But the rest of the tunes are all original,(and some of the covers may make you think you are hearing a new song,as some are done in the PP style,as to make them fresh). This compilation is something i hope will go down in music history,as a representative of the most outsider, bizzare, underground genres to ever have been spawned in our lifetime, only to become the talk of daily music classes,in the future. And all those students will smile, and say i was a cool guy.I did the poster you see above, using the art from each artist represented here. All the notes, lyrics, art, and pictures are in the zip. There are 5 files, make sure you get them all. Each disc has 25 tracks on it,and it's the best way to break it down.If you were to try to fit it all on 3 discs, you'd have to cut off a few songs. And i would'nt want anyone to miss even one note of this earth-shattering comp.I am going to try not to post anything else until i get at least 100 downloads of this posting! The next compilation i am currently working on,is an anti-BP cd,full of protests against the billionaire polluters.Since i live 10 miles from the gulf of mexico,on the west coast of Florida, this comp. will be very special to me.I hope to have as many contributors in protest of BP,as i had for this thing. And PLEASE! leave comments! Just click on the box below that says comments. You can sign in as anonymous,if you don't have an account, and leave your name after the comment. Please contact me thru this blog in the comments if you want to contribute to the BP comp. Also in comments, please tel me your favorite band(s) on this comp, and who you would like to hear more of in the future.VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITES!!!a few of the bands already have recordings in the can, just a waitin'.If anyone would like more clarification on any of the bands let me know.thanks, enjoy this -- G O D
P.S. click here for one track that was cut to make way for a late arrival.it's on a pop-out player at archive.org,and is included in a best of sampler from this comp.read the notes to find the missing track.click here for that: http://www.archive.org/details/Sluggisha.blogspot.comPresents100BandsPopeilPunkK-telKoreSample

SARDONICA-grins again

these guys know the misfits, but they sure don't sound like 'em.also from n.j.,probably closer to rosemary's babies or mourning noise than the misfits,on the mutant punk label, which is an apt description of sardonica's sound. cool smile, dude!

BRITANNIA INFERNUS-a history of british occult and black metal

No one has posted this yet?!! A fine compendium of black metal, starting in the 60's with Black Sabbath,Atomic Rooster and such, then into the 70's -80's with Angel Witch,Venom, and the like, and finally into the 90's with Ragnarok,Old Forest,The Meads of Asphodel and more!Lots of well-known artists, rubbing elbows with lesser known bands.Tons of notes and pics in zip.If you like metal at all, this may open your eyes and mind to a secret underground of black metal!enjoy and hails to all!

BUZZ WORKSHOP-don't let bugs ruin your life!

This is either the first, or second tape from these fools. The line-up was:Me,Joel,Billy,Tall Ray,McSchwuggles, and for some reason, Dom was there to ruin it up a little. Some covers of : the Eagles(totally unrecognizable as such, with"Hotel California"), the Velvet Underground, and even some Henry Mancini. Pretty cool, smokin, and strange. Even a little spicy. The worst part , for me, is when Dom sings on a song, "Lost At Sea(The Goods)", sounding much like the dried cum-stain in Jim Morrison's smelly leather pants, that he is! I don't know how you guys let that dweeb, weasel his way into our thing. Certainly no replacement for Me(when i was on a business trip for 5 months), and definitely not coherent or cohesive with"our" thing. I have another tape by Buzz Workshop, that we didn't even write a track list for, or any info, because once again Dom had to be there, and he did such a great job of ruinin' that one up,that he sounded like the shit stain in the back of Jim Morrison's stanky leather pants! He sang for a band done in my abscence, "Conveyor", (there is a rare reel-to-reel recording of them somewhere on this blog, if you wish to inhale deeply the smell of Jim Morrison's farts, thoroughly imbedded in his cum and shit stained , smelly beyond reason, and unwashable, leather pants), not to say the music or the rest of the guys in the band were bad, but Dom's voice is grating, like i wanna choke him. I have the 4-track master tapes, as well,if i ever get a new one or fix mine,(4-track recorder), maybe I could do mixes without the vocals! Hey,hey!, good idea! Is anyone opposed to that? Let me know! But more on this tape, only the one mentioned track gets ruined up by Dum, and the rest is pretty awe inspiring. I can't stand that fucker, though, sorry dom, if you are reading this, or anybody from Conveyor, I can't help it,the guy is annoying, and I'm glad he took the hint when i got back, that he was out, I wouldn't have wanted to have to put my foot on his neck! Some of the ghost of the sweat, from Jim Morrison's neck, might have got on my shoe, then I'd have to burn the damn things, and find a dumpster to rid myself of them in, what with the stench of Dom on the sole, you kiddin' me or what, huh? Hey I noticed I'm running off at the lip here, usually I get good response when I write a bunch of words in a row, like people leave comments and stuff, and a bunch of people down load it, cuz they see a long paragraph with like a million words, and instead of, (or after), reading it all, they figure it's some important release, that changed the face of music for years to come, or some shit. It is really a great jam tape, with a mixed bag of local,(Ft.Myers,FL), talent, as usual, and it never ceases to interest and amaze me like no other music I've heard in my life. As it is with all the Sluggisha stuff. Well, I hope you enjoyed the ride of this read, and I hope you'll jump on the Sluggisha band wagon, and immerse yourself in our little scene, and download this, and listen to it, and come back and comment, or something. There is still a slew of Buzz Workshop tapes to go yet! So stay tuned for that!

SOCKEYE/SHEEP SQUEEZE-split 7"

alrite, back to the tardcore!this is 4 tunes from sockeye, that you all should know,if not check 'em out, they're good ones!sheep squeeze kicks out 3 tunes that have their signature dumb punk sound.if you ain't heard this ,grab it https://archive.org/download/SockeyesheepSqueeze-split7/446Sockeye-sheepSqueeze-split.zip

DANZIG-777-live at cbgb's

yep,1 of 750 makes it rare.the 2 songs are,"777"(of course)and another version of"when death had no name".nice companion to the subpop 666 single i posted earlier, but the sound is not so good.listen when danzig says the song title 777,you can hear the kid who recorded it,parrot him and say,"777",and then chuckles like butthead.the recording is obviously from a hand -held,in the audience, and sounds compressed.could'nt really get much volume out of it.still ,another bootleg collectible!

COUNT ZEE

This was sent to me free when i ordered some 7"'s, back in the early 90's,(if I remember correctly,it was GG Allin and also some Redd Kross boots),a hardline straightedge punk band, with metal trappings. Some is trippy effects guitar solos with crazy undecipherable lyrics.Lotsa instrumental breaks, acoustic guitar ,and such.not your typical straightedge, not aping Minor Threat,or 7 Seconds, and not like NYHC,but a thrash metal sound of their own.It was on a blue flexi, which accounts for some surface noise.Highly rare and sought after collectible amongst straight-edgers,world-wide! 11 tracks, the longest is,3:o6,next longest,1:42,all the rest 1 minute or less! They ain't no Minutemen though,I can assure you of that.

TANKOTA 2-sheeps and goats

We're not talking sheeps and goats literally here, but we might as well be.4 guitar instrumentals,by the duo of me and Vance.Lost the track list,it's somewhere around the vault,so i can't pinpoint an actual date, but this is the 2nd release from Tankota. One track is extra long, very ambient, with interruptions of grating noise.enjoy whilst waiting for the next one.

SOCKEYE-i've got an indian reservation in my cum!

fantastic 1991 release, from wcfoom records and tapes, the first half is demos, outtakes, alternate mixes, and things that eventually surfaced on 7 inches,as well as covering flipper .that is followed by 2 live gigs.the first is opening for post mortem in kent, ohio in 91.has an anal cunt cover, butthole surfers,38 special, and their stupid original tunes.the second gig here is opening for suckdog in PA,in 1990.performed entirely on acoustic guitar with bongos, this is a riot!covers of lynyrd skynyrd, butthole surfers, inxs, and the grateful dead, and a few of their own crappy compositions.tardcore you can't live without, that's sockeye, folks!lots o info in zip!

MEXICAN ROCK AND ROLL RUMBLE!

this is a collection of 60's mexican garage bands ,doing covers of american songs of the times, such as :ghost riders in the sky, satisfaction, hang on sloopy, hey joe,and more.plus amazing original psych numbers,my fave being,"mary y juana",by los hitters, but there are so many great tunes here, sometimes a guitar is out of tune,or the vocals are wacky,or the rhythm is off,and that's what makes it so great ,to me.i have another collection like this which i will post if i get good comments on this one!

KAHLIL GIBRAN-the prophet

i found this in a thrift shop last week for 25 cents.after laying down side one,i came to find the tape was not attatched to the spool at the end of side one,so i could not get side 2 up!damn, but it may inspire you to seek out the actual book to read the rest of this story.this audio book is read by paul sparer, narrator of ,"tales from the darkside", horror series.an uplifting listen that will give you some answers you may be searching for.been a gibran fan since finding some of his books while thrifting back in the 80's-90's.i'll try to fix this tape(factory sealed,i'll need to break the casing open) and get side 2 up soon.listen to these words for now.

MONASTERY

this is some german thrash metal band, sounding much like metallica,in 1997.has a tune named,"the night of the livin' dead",which is NOT a misfits cover.not bad if you like thrash with fairly clean vocals.there are many bands with this moniker, but this one is not found on the web anywhere, besides their entry on metal archives, which mentions only this release and a later demo.see back cover in zip for picture of these pervs.

INDUSTRIAL BELT B-38-intoxicated grave

3rd release from these out in space nutzos.mr 497 is on vocals and guitar, while noisekillr handles the keys and rhythm machine.a concept based on the plain truth magazine, and religious leaders of the world.had to split tracks, but they really all form into one long opus.

FUCK-rehearsal for european tour

This is, Mad Asshole,Big Black Cock, and Shaggy Dick, doing a quick run-thru on the set list, before boarding a plane,to begin the European leg of their world tour, back in 1992-93.Terrorist rock, heavy stuff, the ski mask is our defense, against the harsh outside world.Lots of covers of:Sonic Youth,GG Allin, the Ramones, the Simpletones,Toegazer, and Black Flag.as well as a healthy dose of Fuck's own original songs.Recorded at Morrisound Studios,in Tampa, after which we headed for our plane at Tampa Airport.

STRYKER

this was my high school friend, steve maitland's band.i sang in the early stages, till they got sarah, who steve later married.the music is like classic hard rock/heavy metal, leaning heavily towards judas priest/iron maiden and the nwobhm sound.with pat benatar or lita ford on vocals.nuances of 70's-80's metal music shows thru.this is the original album, with 6 bonus unreleased tracks(one with steve singing!).i have a 19 song second release, that no one has ever heard, and it may be even better than this.if i get good response on this,i'll fill you in on more info, and post that rarity.

THE LAWN SAUSAGES-kick out the hams

this is some n.y. band, led by a record store owner/radio personality, who's had a radio show for over 30 years.this is no where to be found on the web,and rightfully so.kinda lame punk-like alternative type older people, trying too hard to be weird.kinda reminiscent of"the sic fucks"or the "edith massey" band, only nowhere near as good.funny the first time round, then not so.just listen and you tell me. here's a link to their myspace page:

YOBEL WEENEL-sashan klyniks abuddah -video

this is the latest from yobel weenel.leading up to their 3rd release, this was recorded today,all-new stuff.zombies and monsters, king kong and hockey players, weird obscure avant-garde punk experiments!

TOMORROW WILL BE WORSE-VOLUME 3

this is a comp of hard core, thrash punk,3 u.s. bands,3 japanese bands.pretty good stuff.the vol 1 of this series was power violence, and include real reggae,a jap band who single-handedly started the power violence scene, and are my fave in this series.sorry they're not on here, but search up vol 1 and 2 you'll find them.this was not posted anywhere on the web,but 1 and 2 can be found.on sound pollution records, home of st.pete greats, assuck.

I LOVE METAL-compilation

this comp has punk and ska bands doing metal covers.the bands include,but are not limited to:less than jake,the get-up kids,supernova,mephiskapheles,electric frankenstein,modest mouse,and more.the bands covered include:slayer,iron maiden,twisted sister,celtic frost,judas priest,girlschool,ozzy,and more!surprised nobody has posted this yet,it's on a tiny obscure,probably defunct label known as,triple crown records.

THE OBSCURITY FILE-compilation

this is california new-wave style bands, came out in 94,but some tracks pre-date that by 10 years or more.the only bands i really heard of before are, killer pussy, the bollock brothers, the vandals, and scott goddard, who was once in the surf punks.the rest is unknown to me,but there is cool stuff here.kinko the clown is a perverted man who starts and ends this comp.

BUZZ WORKSHOP-dog tags

this is really cool!the only time ever that tony rizzo enlisted in the ranks of buzz workshop.it's me,joel, tony, tall ray,and mike smith on the first 9 songs, some of which ended up in our set list,as well as some unheard of instrumentals that go way far out.the last 6 tracks are tony, joel and tall ray,and is very enlightening.the last track,"star in a box" is a doozy!extra long doozy!

ONE FELL SWOOP-practice for 1st gig-1/23/92

this is live at gramps, the cat machine house, and the typewriter case, pizza pan drum rim, hammer and pliers drumset is in full-effect.the first half is originals, the second half we cover:the flamin' groovies(twice),the fall,hendrix(2 hits),and kiss.the between song banter is good for a few guffaws, and we were still re-learning these songs, picked from several sessions.good for what it is. the song,"i need cash",swipes a kike riff!

WE STILL CAN'T HELP IT IF WE'RE FROM FLORIDA-compilation single

The second release on Burrito Records was this fine comp.following up on Destroy Records comp.,"We Can't Help It If We're From Florida, from 1983.This is from 1992,and has some winners on it.Slap Of Reality offers up what sounds like it could be a Dag Nasty out-take.Roach Motel, and Chickenhead make appearances,as well as 5 other bands.Maggot Sandwich has 2 songs, one is 10 seconds long, the other is five seconds long.and a short one ends it all with Milk and Cookies.Put this in the time capsule,it's a piece of punk rock history!

FLAMING MIDGET-midget melodies:very short songs for the very short

This is the first release on Burrito Records, out of Stuart ,Florida. The CEO of
Burrito,Bob Suren, plays bass and guitar on here.8 really cool songs that make me pine for the glory days of the late 80's,when stuff like this was to be found everywhere.Very activist, political, type punk, has the sound of classic stuff you know and love!

GASOLENE/BOB split

this is from my pal, melmo,of cactus prick magazine and records.gasolene is hard emo punk, not like the crap that passes for emo nowadays.gasolene are from melbourne ,florida,so they are right at home here.bob is from georgia, and features one of our own, tall ray,on bass.cool punk that reminds me of pavement and pussy galore.i have another 7 inch by them as well as a full length cd.this is the best thing i've heard from them.

DANZIG-sup pop 666

yes this is a bootleg.the first side was an unreleased song at the time, this is the original version.then there's an elvis presley cover, and a demo of "possession",which reminds me slightly of the misfits,"bloodfeast".this is probably the coolest single he ever put out as danzig, sub pop, yeah right!

THE 6TH STREET MUNTUS-flingin'zingers

4/4/96 at 5455,this is me,joel, and mike smith, again, this time beating out the muntus sound.experimental as always, has a vacuum on one short track, and"smitty goes berserk",which is not just a title!only 4 pieces here, adds up to about 45 min. of thinking music for the easily distracted.almost always reminds me of going to the county fair, and pooping in ladies purses, when they 're not looking!a surprise awaits those who brush their hair!

L C X M E -fact,hope,and conviction

from 6/25/95 at 5455,once again, this time round it's me,joel, and mike smith, with more free-form experimental explorations.only 2 tracks, about 15 min, apiece, this is for free-jazz freaks, and gourmands of great grooves!the lee county experimental music ensemble, should have further pursued that art grant from the county, could've been free jazz giants by now!
