There was a rain tree in my front yard, that was right between the electric line, and internet line, coming into my house. And it was impeding my flow to the septic drainfield, due to root growth.I had to take a few different chainsaws to it,for a couple of days,to bring it fully down.you can hear me yell,"Timber.....ton",(Tim Burton), right as it falls in day 1,and the tape got ate shortly after that,(you can hear me say,"Ahhh FUCK!!")as the handheld recorder i was using to document this in field recordings, batteries had died. For day 2, I got new batteries, and it's mostly the sound of chainsawing all the limbs into either kindling wood,or logs. These are true field recordings ,with all the sounds heard being recorded in real time, there are a few pauses here and there, and moments where there is near silence, but also the sound of logs being loaded into a wheelbarrow, and brief snatches of conversations.Half the wood has been burned as of this morning.in my fire pit in the back yard, which is around 8 feet deep, its like an incinerator, and can burn even the greenest wood.I suspect the rest will be gone soon,as well.I am making the bottom part of the tree, from stump up,about 4 1/2 foot long, into a bench, and the part of the tree ,right above that, which was the spawn of about 6 main limbs, into a stool, turning it upside down onto the limb side,as legs, and using the flat trunk side ,as the seat. So yeah, this is chainsawcore,or maybe lumberjackcore,or possibly just treecore, with apologies to Josh Boutwell.
