COUNT ZEE

This was sent to me free when i ordered some 7"'s, back in the early 90's,(if I remember correctly,it was GG Allin and also some Redd Kross boots),a hardline straightedge punk band, with metal trappings. Some is trippy effects guitar solos with crazy undecipherable lyrics.Lotsa instrumental breaks, acoustic guitar ,and such.not your typical straightedge, not aping Minor Threat,or 7 Seconds, and not like NYHC,but a thrash metal sound of their own.It was on a blue flexi, which accounts for some surface noise.Highly rare and sought after collectible amongst straight-edgers,world-wide! 11 tracks, the longest is,3:o6,next longest,1:42,all the rest 1 minute or less! They ain't no Minutemen though,I can assure you of that.

HENRY MITCHELL-SOMZ -WITH MIKE WATT!!!

another solo artist in the continuing series, henry was not an immediate sluggisha family member, but rather a fan and fellow musician from san pedro, california.i know some of you are saying,"hmmm, now who do i know from san pedro?",that's right folks, the minutemen!and featured on this release(on at least 2 songs)is mike watt!! playing bass solos, and doing spoken vocals!any minutemen, firehose,or mike watt fans(hi,chuck!)(hi,fords!)take note of this.as far as i know this was never released,i've never heard of it,internet search turns up zilch,so i guess this may be rare.fairly pedestrian 70's style mellow rock,1 blues instrumental number(for a minute),sometimes the vocals sound like a choir boy at sunday mass, pretty interesting piece of minutemen artifact, tell me what you think it sounds like.henry was apparently a drummer primarily, but tried to spread his wings here by doing vocals ,bass ,guitars, and drums.a couple of guest guitars as well, all notes in zip, details on the last 2 tracks are sketchy, may also feature watt, tell me if you think so.i don't know if that's henry in the pic above,he sent this for distro thru sluggisha.check it out!

FORDS OF CHAOS

our local ft.myers minutemen cover band, but they were so much more.a band of brothers and a friend, play minutemen covers so realistic, you'll swear you are hearing the genuine article.seth, luke, mark, and brett, have a knack for reproducing the hits of d.boon and co.as well as minor threat ,home, dinosaur jr.,steely dan(via the minutemen)and other bands they love. i wish i had a flyer for this show, but alas,no luck.upon first hearing them,i was amazed that at their young age they were so proficient, cruising along like a well oiled piece of machinery.you too will stand gape-mouthed at the sounds you will hear, and may even feel disbelief that this is not the minutemen.if anyone knows what track 7 is let me know in comments, thanks .5/25/96 at the draft house.i am still floored everytime i hear the ford boys,as will you be when you click here:

the T V G B ' S

not related to cbgbs, except for the fact that it's punky music.kinda ultra intellectual tardcore.like a t v with nothing but information ,or a set of encyclopedias,or sitting in a college course, listening to professors.song lyrics vary greatly, every subject is touched upon, the music is varied as well, sticking to a mostly punk /tard style, but some metal leanings are also heard.i also hear a bit of minor threat like emo/caring type of vibe.it's a trip to the library,a virtual cornucopia of information.i play all instruments,a real drum kit,all vocals,i am all alone here again.very cohesive sound ties it all together in a neatly wrapped package.a/k/a the tee vee gee bees, also has nothing to do with the bee gees.a real lone wolf sounding type of recording that will either cheer you up or make you even more depressed, but laughing.with a germs cover.art by me.pretty fuckin'cool,a good listen .click here for zip file: https://archive.org/download/TheTvgbs/121TheTvgbs.zip
