The first and last ever ,live gig by Whoreshack. We were third choice openers since the band Deadbone ,who was originally scheduled to open ,had their drummer die on them ,the second choice opening band ,Turd Thermos ,were all school kids ,who could'nt play because they got caught skipping school ,and most of the band was grounded. So we opened for Conveyor and Big Bong Theory ,thoroughly trashing the audience with our huge cocks!We were a hard act to follow ,baiting the audience with an almost Fear-like venom!A few covers ,mixed in with all original improv instrumentals ,and the hit song ,"Not Come Down". There was fun in the air ,as it was Labor Day Weekend 1993 ,and the boys were crankin' out this slop ,to an undeserving audience.Fuck them! Now you can experience the madness ,without actually having to stand in a room full of slackers,losers,and smelly crust punks and dead heads!This is the shit! Vance played drums ,since original drummer,Mike Smith, was home sleeping!

WHORESHACK - Whoreshack 2 , But Not Too Whoreshack

This is the second recording from the instrumental trio. Although on this round ,from tracks 5 onwards , has special guest guitarist ,Steve Reed ! Kinda like the Ventures , if they were raised on punk and metal music. The only vocals here are imitations of Arnold Horshack , plus 3 covers of , Flipper , The Stooges , and Fear ! And a bunch of idle chit-chat at the last track. And an acapella rendering of the theme song from the Welcome Back Kotter TV show. Recorded live at the Bakery , 3/16/1993. The next post of this band ,will be their first album ,since we worked backwards in succesion. Then after that ,there will be a special posting of their appearance at the coffee house ,with Big Bong Theory ,and Conveyor.

A TRIBUTE TO JOHNNY THUNDERS

4 bands,M99,Mule,Napalm Beach,and Rancid Vat ,all turn in decent performances on this double ,blue and pink vinyl ,7 inch.As an extra added bonus ,Whoreshack,The Jackie Earle Haleys,and One Fell Swoop ,3 Sluggisha bands,also do Johnny proud.His solo work,as well as The New York Dolls,and The Heartbreakers,are all covered to the best of the band's abilities.Been wanting to put this up for a while,got it from Samskull at the great Offbeat record store,he once owned,now sadly closed,this 7" was in the glass case at the counter,don't know why,but I asked to see it,and promptly shelled out some clams.

this is the 4th release from WHORESHACK!.recorded live in the bakery,this time on a four track recorder,and with special guest,on bass,vance burdge.me billy,and mike,do our thing,and vance adds another dimension to the proceedings.there should be four songs on here so it could be titled thusly:"WHORESHACK FOUR TRACK FOUR-TRACK",but alas,only 3 tracks here,but indeed recorded on a 4-track machine.instrumentals touching on some key people and places in the kotter series.3-27-93 is the date,and i can smell the stale bread from here! the picture is ,"whoreshack four-track rorschach",ha,ha.

WHORESHACK-the zipper

this is the 6th album from the mostly instrumental band,whoreshack.me and billy on guitars,mike smith on drums.this outing,the zipper,explores the sights and sounds of the carnival.there are some great instros here,including a small group of anal cunt-like beatblasts of sound,in the middle.always recorded in an empty bakery,where the walls and roof stretched for a mile,vibing the acoustics.a few tapes have vance on them(he played drums at the only live show),and steve reed played guitar once.this is a document of midnight madness,enjoy!and don't forget,funnel cakes are grease and dough!

EPSTEIN- LIVE!-at trig's birthday party at gare's house,3/20/93

This was supposed to be "Whoreshack" live but the other 2 members didn't show up so I played guitar and had 4 drummers,all at once,who included,:Brophy,Trig,Sean,and Tony.I know it sometimes sounds as if there's 2 guitars,but it's all me with effects and delays.Broke into the middle of a mellow acid hippie party to wake them up with the reality of this music.I'm sure they were trippin' balls and this probably took them over the edge.At least 30 hippies were in attendance,and I fled after the last note.Whoreshack was me ,Billy,and Mike, same style, instrumentals mostly,and sometimes Vance on bass.This is a freak-out session,and the sound quality is of the "you are there"variety,I think you will like!Click here:

the ANGRY REDNECKS

Me ,Tony,Joel,and Chipmunk, were on our way to record something at the bakery.On the way there we had a road rage run-in with some rednecks,who appeared to be furious with us for being cooler than them ,apparently,and in the course of their ignorance,gave us a name for this project,we were about to embark on.Utilizing huge metal bread proofing cabinets,for part of the percussion,and other instruments of baking as musical instruments,as well as guitars, bass, drums,make for strange bedfellows.Other bands also recorded in this factory, including,Jesus Freak and the Barefoot Bandit,and Whoreshack.This ,as with other of our bands,is practically indescribable,but the final track may yield a clue in the title,"Humans Reared In Institutions".This is basically the sound of this project,with a Lubricated Goat cover.Don't disregard this as noise or industrial,this thing rocks the fuck out!
