BUZZ WORKSHOP-don't let bugs ruin your life!

This is either the first, or second tape from these fools. The line-up was:Me,Joel,Billy,Tall Ray,McSchwuggles, and for some reason, Dom was there to ruin it up a little. Some covers of : the Eagles(totally unrecognizable as such, with"Hotel California"), the Velvet Underground, and even some Henry Mancini. Pretty cool, smokin, and strange. Even a little spicy. The worst part , for me, is when Dom sings on a song, "Lost At Sea(The Goods)", sounding much like the dried cum-stain in Jim Morrison's smelly leather pants, that he is! I don't know how you guys let that dweeb, weasel his way into our thing. Certainly no replacement for Me(when i was on a business trip for 5 months), and definitely not coherent or cohesive with"our" thing. I have another tape by Buzz Workshop, that we didn't even write a track list for, or any info, because once again Dom had to be there, and he did such a great job of ruinin' that one up,that he sounded like the shit stain in the back of Jim Morrison's stanky leather pants! He sang for a band done in my abscence, "Conveyor", (there is a rare reel-to-reel recording of them somewhere on this blog, if you wish to inhale deeply the smell of Jim Morrison's farts, thoroughly imbedded in his cum and shit stained , smelly beyond reason, and unwashable, leather pants), not to say the music or the rest of the guys in the band were bad, but Dom's voice is grating, like i wanna choke him. I have the 4-track master tapes, as well,if i ever get a new one or fix mine,(4-track recorder), maybe I could do mixes without the vocals! Hey,hey!, good idea! Is anyone opposed to that? Let me know! But more on this tape, only the one mentioned track gets ruined up by Dum, and the rest is pretty awe inspiring. I can't stand that fucker, though, sorry dom, if you are reading this, or anybody from Conveyor, I can't help it,the guy is annoying, and I'm glad he took the hint when i got back, that he was out, I wouldn't have wanted to have to put my foot on his neck! Some of the ghost of the sweat, from Jim Morrison's neck, might have got on my shoe, then I'd have to burn the damn things, and find a dumpster to rid myself of them in, what with the stench of Dom on the sole, you kiddin' me or what, huh? Hey I noticed I'm running off at the lip here, usually I get good response when I write a bunch of words in a row, like people leave comments and stuff, and a bunch of people down load it, cuz they see a long paragraph with like a million words, and instead of, (or after), reading it all, they figure it's some important release, that changed the face of music for years to come, or some shit. It is really a great jam tape, with a mixed bag of local,(Ft.Myers,FL), talent, as usual, and it never ceases to interest and amaze me like no other music I've heard in my life. As it is with all the Sluggisha stuff. Well, I hope you enjoyed the ride of this read, and I hope you'll jump on the Sluggisha band wagon, and immerse yourself in our little scene, and download this, and listen to it, and come back and comment, or something. There is still a slew of Buzz Workshop tapes to go yet! So stay tuned for that!

BUZZ WORKSHOP-dog tags

this is really cool!the only time ever that tony rizzo enlisted in the ranks of buzz workshop.it's me,joel, tony, tall ray,and mike smith on the first 9 songs, some of which ended up in our set list,as well as some unheard of instrumentals that go way far out.the last 6 tracks are tony, joel and tall ray,and is very enlightening.the last track,"star in a box" is a doozy!extra long doozy!

Hey,it's these guys 4th gig ever, before delving into the full-fledged Fall worship, tho' a Fall song is covered here,at least lyrically. Also ,"The Draft House Theme",the last track here,is based on a Tim Buckley number, and is great!Kinda free-jazz,beat-poet,beatnik punk, that you can really wrap your head around.Check it out,we play at midnite!.Get the other 2 live sets ,previously posted, where we really get down and dirty with a bunch of The Fall tunes(and a Burl Ives song!).This is really cool,I think you shall dig!Me on keys,Joel (as Mark E. Smith)on vocals,Vance bass,Philbert Ze Chocolat Clown on sax,Sean Burch percussion.

the 6TH STREET MUNTUS-tie the dog loose!

3/29-30/96 is the date,5455 is the place, the muntus are in full effect!me,joel, and vance start it out, vance leaves after 3 songs, and jessica steps into his place, for the remaining 5 pieces.as always, very experimental, and different from the other muntu tapes, every session we ever did had it's own sound.this has a lot of sampling, electronics,as well as your standard bass, guitar, drum thing, the meaning of life is on here, and i think the last track utilizes a few toy saxophones.really trippin' stuff, definitely a desert island band, lots more to come from these greats!

SEXBOY-mumsy demos

this was a short-lived line-up(one day,in fact)of sexboy vocals,vance guitar,tony rizzo bass,and mike smith drums.it wasn't really tony's thing,tho and for some reason,mike didn't seem to like it either,it's just out and out punk-rock to the max!. cool session,8 songs,all live staples,except one curiosity."wreck of me" is here,the only time played by a full band.live at vance's mom's living room,in cape coral,hence the title.pic is from a show with deep red.

SHIT WHEELS & THE NOISE MOBILES

This is a mystery band.It may be me,Vance, and his son Christian, but I can't be sure.Just a few tracks,in the studio, lots of noise, flutes, bass, drums, and more.Pretty weird stuff. The tape that had this band name on it,wasn't this at all. This was on an unmarked tape, and the name I believe was never used for a band.Wish I had that car in the pic,Shit while driving!

KILLERSVILLE-120 minutes with....

this is me,mike, and dug, thoroughly thrashing on mtv's 120 minutes, hosted by matt pinfield,on 9/2/96.some of the worst music is heard in the backround, and we had to see the videos that go along with that crappy music.we review each entry, rag on them till they change to the next video victim.a real comedy act,i did this sort of thing in my magazine rodent cake a few times, but this is audio, you are there!really funny and fun,not a full 120 minutes(well it actually is ,compressed)cuz the tape was recorded slower,so on playback,we sound like helium fiends.making it even funnier!everyone should get toasted tonite, and put this on,crank it up,and throw in your own comments,i'm sure you will!

LIL' SHAVERS- 2 bits

this was recorded after a one fell swoop session ,with me,chipmunk, sean sommers,t.j.,and shannon.quite noisy, kinda heavy metallish, shannon does most of the singing, sounding sexy.she fakes an orgasm on here, and sean does some hilarious vocals.hard to say what this is,weird alt-punk,or acid-punk,it's out there.try to listen to this!the last track is from the aforementioned ofs session(titled, nubiles galore,i wonder why?),with joel,of course, and shannon on vox.t.j. and shannon were about 15-16 when this was recorded, and ofs were a bunch of perverted 20 somethings.from joel's room at cat machine house from 1992.

the NEW LEFT CLASS-bloodguilt of the transgressors

More instrumental tunes to hum while trying to decide if it's the right time to.....,well you know if it's safe.....,I wouldn't listen to this in the dark, unless you're skateboarding behind K-mart,or running from the pigs!Drink a lot then put this on.I know it's not as sexy as your peek-a-boo teddy, but it will look good on you.Me on guitars,Vance, bass and Mike Smith ,drums.this is the real stuff, the kind you scrape off so as not to waste any. It's the shit,is what I mean to say!

KILLERSVILLE-die,housewife,die!

Some killer instrumentals, that make the instrumental genre obsolete! This transcends any instro combo you may have heard in your lifetime.Ed Sluggisha on bass,Dug Boone on guitar,Mike Smith ,drums. From the summer of '96,in my garage studio.Subliminal mind melting music that makes you want to kill!

BUZZ WORKSHOP-in-crowd cult heroes

more rollicking fun rock from the buzz workshop,a loosely-knit,interchangable group of fellas, who just love to record their do-goodings,to share with the world.this time round the line-up is:me,joel, tall ray, mike"mcschwuggles"mezaros, and vance, march 24th,1996.the lead-off track pinches a birthday party guitar line,to good effect.2 great cover versions of velvet underground's"sister ray",as sung by joel.and the other tracks are no slouches either.total 1-2-3-go! style, and it was all written in the stars that day,or some kinda crap like that!recorded in fantastic"you are here"sound,i shit you not, you'll swear you're in the living room at joel's 5455 club.

LCXME-Lee County eXperimental Music Ensemble-Live! June 16th,1995

tony, joel, vance, and myself,on a fine summer day,in crime manor, regurgitating free-form jazz, filtered thru the minds and hands of freaks!the idea was for us to get an art grant, but it never panned out.we still carried on,and even played a few jazz fests in the area.this tape was lost and the tape was broken,so repair was needed!also uncovered a noisekillr chestnut, which will be included on his next release!anyway, this is boys having fun, entertaining themselves,a band with an audience of ourselves.enjoy the instrumental onslaught, don't be scared,it's rather listenable in this day and age.as usual, way ahead of the times!
