NOISEKILLR - Yellowman Duppy Or Gunman Remix - NOISEKILLR 40,MVMT 191

 This is an unauthorized noise dub remix of superstar reggae music artist Yellowman's hit tune,"Duppy Or Gunman". I used the Boss DSD2 pedal to sample and loop,and delay,and the Boss Distortion pedal to add some bottom weight.utilizing my cassette tape version of the song,I was able to digitize my remix from the 4 track cassette recording I had made.I have always loved dub reggae,and it's one of the reasons I started NOISEKILLR 40 years ago,I like the repetitive loops,that take on a life of their own,and this song in particular,I've always wanted to remix in this fashion,and now I've completed another wish from my mile long list.Yellowman has always been a touchstone for me,an artist that really spurred me on to reach for the stars,to do the absolute best you can do .Steve Reich was another strong factor in my early history,totally different from heavy dub reggae,more like a loop that starts as one thing,and ends up sounding like something totally different by the ending,even though it's the same loop. But that's not this,and I have done that style many times,even carried it over to another project I did for years,late 80s to current times ,UNCUT, wherein I would destroy records in various ways,melting,burning,scratching,breaking,glueing,what ever you can do to harm a vinyl record,and then I would play them on a turntable and record it.A lot of times it would be a lock groove,and many times it would take the needle ona wacky journey ,jumping all around the record,or perhaps following a spiral scratch I would make in the grooves,but those are stories for another time and place! The focus here is on YELLOWMAN and NOISEKILLR and the totally bitchin remix I have laid down for the world to partake of! I hope YELLOWMAN is doing fine,and I hope someday he gets to hear this,and maybe gives me some accolades!
